We are a full-time, microsurgical vasectomy reversal super-specialty center. We do not do any other surgeries at our practice, only vasectomy reversals.
Each doctor is limited to one vas reversal a day. This ensures that the surgeon is not under pressure to rush to the next surgeries nor are they fatigued from earlier vasectomy reversals.
We do the vasectomy reversals! Our patients do not have to worry that the vas reversal will be performed by doctors-in-training. At ICVR, either Dr. Marks or Dr. Burrows performs the entire surgery, from start to finish!
ICVR has the world record of 42 years from vasectomy to successful reversal, and he now has a 19-year-old daughter who just had her own baby! We routinely perform vas reversals on men from 15 to 35 years out with published high success rates.
Both Dr. Marks and Dr. Burrows are urologists, which is the only specialty in medicine trained to perform vas reversals AND manage any contributing male fertility issues before/after that may impact the vas reversal success.
We perform between 5 and 8 vasectomy reversals in a single week, which is more than most urologists do in a year, and some in their entire career! As of 2024, we have performed almost 8000 successful vas reversals between our two expert surgeons, after working together over the last five decades. Your Comfort & Care Matters to Us

We provide 6 months of after-care at no additional cost, which is critical for the highest success rates. Many doctors don’t understand the importance of providing this level of care to reversal patients.
We do not use deep general anesthesia with potential rare but serious risks. Instead, we use our own technique, which we developed, of mild conscious sedation to avoid all the risks, toxicity and side effects of deep general anesthesia. Our patients are so relaxed and comfortable that they fall asleep throughout the vas reversal and most never even ask for single Tylenol afterwards.
We perform vas reversals in our own private operating suite, so we are not pressured to ram many cases through in a day which is so common at busy hospitals or surgery centers. Plus, having our own facility gives the doctors total control over all the details so we have only the very top equipment, custom microsutures, microsurgical instruments and our Leica high-powered surgical microscope.
ICVR has our own andrology lab and sperm bank next to our operating suite, with a full-time andrologist, not just a lab tech. This allows us to offer sperm banking at no additional cost, which saves our patients many thousands of dollars. Our continued life-long andrology follow-up after the vas reversal is critical to achieving the highest chances for a child.
