World Record Vasectomy Reversal Baby Just Had Her Own Baby!

This article about a world record vasectomy reversal success 42 years from vasectomy is written by Dr. Sheldon Marks, the microsurgeon that performed the vasectomy reversal on this patient.

We are proud to have performed the world record vasectomy reversal, 42 years from vasectomy, now with their “miracle daughter” who recently announced the birth of her daughter, our vas reversal granddaughter! We are honored to be able to watch her grow up in the Philippines on Facebook.

Every doctor that they talked with told them that a successful vas reversal this many years out from vasectomy was totally impossible. That is, until they came to ICVR, a full time, vas reversal only “Center of Excellence”. Here, we routinely perform vas reversals on men anywhere from 20 to 35+ years out with world-class high success rates. In fact, we recently had a patient from Phoenix who was 35 years out from vasectomy to his vas reversal that had great sperm on both sides and so had a vas-to-vas connection with an excellent chances for a very high success rate.

We even presented our great results at an international fertility meeting (1) and published a paper in a leading fertility journal showing that men can have a very good success rate even decades after their vasectomy (2).

When I talk to the fathers of these babies, so many years after vasectomy, there is one theme that keeps coming up. They describe that having a child again after a vasectomy reversal is like a fountain of youth, as once again they are chasing butterflies, looking at clouds to see animals, teaching their child how to fish or splash in the mud. Having a child, they explain, brings them back to the simple wonders of life and the world around us – things that as we get older we no longer see or experience as we get so caught up in our busy days.

Contact us to find out why more than 7000 men over 40 years have come to ICVR from every state in the US and more than 85 countries around the world.

When ready, we offer a no-cost consultation with either Dr. Marks or Dr. Burrows in office, by phone, Zoom, Skype or FaceTime most days and even weekends and evenings.
